Periotron Professional Version 3.0a
Quickstart Guide

What you need
Periotron Professional Version 3.0a requires the following minimum system
configuration:

Computer and
monitor: Pentium class or higher PC with at least 8 MB RAM, a hard disk
with 15 MB of free space to install, a double-speed CD-ROM drive, and a
video board and monitor capable of running 256 color SVGA set at 800 x 600
or greater resolution.
- A mouse or other pointing device.
- Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 or XP operating
system.
- For all online features, you must have
Internet access.
- Windows compatible printer.

Disable Virus Protection
Software
Virus protection software may interfere with Periotron Professional
installation. To learn how to disable your virus utilities, see the
documentation for your virus protection software. After you install
Periotron Professional, re-enable your virus protection software.
If your computer is not running virus protection software, install Periotron
Professional now.

Installing Periotron Professional
Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 or XP |
- Close any open programs. Go to the
Windows taskbar to see any open programs.
- Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive.
- From the Start menu, choose Run.
- Type X:\SETUP, where X is the name
of your drive. Floppy disk drives are usually named A or B. CD-ROM
drives are usually D or E.
- Follow any instructions that are
displayed.

When the
Select Destination Directory dialog box appears, verify that the
default destination directory is the one that you want to use. If the
default directory is acceptable, click Next. If you want to change the
destination directory, click Browse, locate the new destination
directory, click OK and click Next.
- Follow any instructions that are
displayed.

Starting Periotron Professional
Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 or XP

To start Periotron Professional after
it is installed, double-click on the Periotron short-cut icon on your
desktop. This will create an icon entitled Periotron Professional.
Double-clicking on this icon will start Periotron Professional. You
may delete the Double-Click icon after the Periotron Professional icon
appears on your desktop.
- You may start Periotron Professional by either clicking on the
Periotron Professional icon or by clicking Start on the Windows
taskbar.
- On the Start menu, point to Programs, Periotron Professional and
click Periotron Professional.
- In order to use the volume and thickness conversion feature of
Periotron Professional, the Periotron Model 8000 must be calibrated.
